DOI week 4

Week four started with Torville & Dean skating an upbeat complicated and amazing routine to 'Tiger feet' by Mud. It's good to see Jane wearing shorter skirts again when she's skating, as she has a good pair of pins and doesn't need to keep them hidden.

First up this week was Kieron Richardson, again I thought that he did a good performance, fun vibrant and energetic. I loved his pink green and black stripey trousers. The judges were a bit more critical and scored him a not great 15.

Next to dance was Tana. She was given 'Waterloo' by Abba to skate to. Tana said that she was very pleased with the song choice and this would be her first upbeat number.
However her skating wasn't as upbeat as as the music. That this weeks skate lacked in performance, and was no better than the previous week. The judges awarded her a poor but deserved 12

Danny followed Tana skating to the slow number 'when your in love with a beautiful woman' by Dr Hook. Their skate was ok giving them the same score as last week, 17 but provoked Jason into making the first catty comment of the evening when he said to Danny
"Sometimes your great, sometimes not so good. You're like a bulldog with a bone" Frankie replied "I'm not sure that calling Danny a bulldog with a bone is really commenting on his performance."

Emily skated next. She doesn't appear to be improving much at all, and this was reflected in the judges comments and scores. Emma Bunton said she was "messy and unsteady". On a slightly more positive note Robin said her basic skating skills were stronger. The only thing impressive about her performance was the stunning red dress she was wearing. She scored a very poor 10.5 which left her bottom of the leader board. Where she stayed, as even Dr Hilary scored higher.

Mikey skated a really fun routine, to Simon & Garfunkles's Cecelia. His skating was confident and precise even though he'd had to have alot of physio during the week due to muscle problems.
"Tight and cheeky" - Jason. Mikey scored his highest score of 20.5

Heather had problems with her new prosthetic leg this week. She only recieved it mid-week, and lost a days training because of this. She had to get used to the balance and weight of the new leg.
This reflected very much in her perfomance, as she relied very much on her partner Matt for stability.
Lets hope things work out better for next Sundays show. Heather scored 12.5

Dr. Hilary danced 7th. A much steadier performance. But it was definitely a back to basics routine. He was much more stable than last week, but there were no lifts or fancy steps apart form the required element.
A safe routine in, yet again, a safe coloured shirt.

Daniella skated to 'Le freak' by chic. She looked stunning in a saffron coloured dress. Her routine started with a catchy dance sequence and included a neck ripper lift. She kept her movements flowing, and managed to do the complete required element unaided. Daniella scored her highest score of 19.5

Sharron's performance was better and softer than previous weeks. I like Sharron's dancing, but it would appear that Jason doesn't. As his score for her was a very poor two. Her total score was a reasonable 15
Sharron wore a chocolate brown 'swimming costume' type outfit decorated gold, silver, and bronze jewels with gold knee boots.
Jason then said that she was spinning around "like fecal matter that wouldn't flush".
Now there's constructive critisism and there's being downright and unnecessarily rude, and this was just being rude. I don' see how Jason Gardiner can critisize anybody's costumes - Have you seen the awful stuff he puts people in on 'This Morning' and tries to convince us that this is style.
Anyway Jason has now apologized for his comments - So that's OK then!So what will the talentless, horse-faced git have to say next week? We'll you'll just have to tune in to find out...
Sorry Jason! if my comments offended you they weren't meant to.

Gary's performance again was very solid. he did the require element unaided. He had a good flowing routine but unfortunately had a couple of stumbles. He has a great connection with his partner Maria. To improve his performance he needs to believe in himself more. But the judges scored him a very respectable 19.

The final performance was from Haley. Well she blew everyone away again. Her confident and daring performance gave her a score of 23 the highest score of the series.
Hayley wore a bright Orange and silver cat-suit that really had the feel of the spirit of the 70's.

MY PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK This week Dr Hilary. He scored his beat score, and I felt I could breathe this week whilst I was watching him.

THE SKATE - OFF
Sharron was amazed and pleased when she wasn't in this weeks skate off, and lets hope that her performances are beginning to catch the imagination of the voting public.
However both Danny and Tana were. After both upping there performances in the skate-off. Danny won the judges vote by five to zero. And Tana did the lap of honour.
I think that Danny could do with being a little less the 'cheeky-chappie' as it's irritating. With a score of 17, he really must have got a very poor score form the home audience.
